Wally Gower: it all depends on the car... year, make, model, features. to find out if its totaled. you can go to www.kellybluebook.com if you want to find out how much you vehicle is worth. dont forget to subtract how much your deductable is from the value that kbb puts your car at.that is how the insurance company finds out how much your car is worth. if your car is worth more than what your repairs cost then your car isnt totaled.
Josefine Weekey: If the Insurance company is doing the fixing, they will decide if it is totalled or not (that is if it is cheaper for them to fix it or to buy it from you.) If you are not going through insurance, and if you can live with an ugly but functional car, you can do a lot yourself and save a bundle.But do not mess with airbags. ! (they explode)
