Irma Poiter: The dealers are out to make as much money from servicing as possible, because they actually make little money by selling vehicles. The MANUFACTURER supplies recommendations for service intervals and what should be done/ checked, a dealer will try to sell you unnecessary services to make more money from you. Many times, people get charged for doing work on a vehicle that does not actually get done. Who's to know?...Show more
Asa Soho: A brake flush at 27000 miles or km's is highway robbery. Following dealer maintenance schedules is good for the dealers. You do brake flushes when the system is opened. Otherwise it is a waste. Next they will want to flush your power steering that is electric.
Arlene Maycumber: No. You need to follow the manufacturer's schedule. The dealer will try and tell you that you need more things done so they can charge you more.
Jill Thomer: The best you can do is follow the recommended service scheme in the owner's ma! nual.
Elaina Adolfson: It is more like luck of the draw.....change oil regular/check air in tires and do not drive on dirt roads....
Jacques Vaquera: Following the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and getting your service book stamped will validate your warranty. Once out of warranty it does no harm to continue. All vehicles, especially those with off-road capabilities, only last until they meet their first tree.
Adelle Weight: No. Just do regular oil changes. Only fix whatâs broken. If one dealership says something is broken, get a second opinion from another dealership. If both agrees, fix from cheapest dealership
Hobert Dula: The "DEALERSHIP" does not establish maintenance schedules, DUMMY! The MANUFACTURER provides an OWNER'S MANUAL with each new car that they build. Inside these owner's manuals you will find recommendations for routine maintenance and if you follow the MANUFACTURER'S recommendations, it is likely that your car will last l! onger and perform better over time.
