What route at university do you think is best? (Primary Education)?

Gabriel Realmuto: I would get the 4 year degree. Although I am not teaching currently, I will be graduating next year and am starting the job search. You are right, the market is completely flooded right now. Your best hope for getting a job in early education is to make yourself stand out. Schools are looking for teachers who have the most experience (find a program that gets you into schools as much as possible) and for teachers with additional qualifications. They are particularly looking for teachers with reading certifications. Most programs require only a few extra classes to get a reading certification. If it is not a big deal to you, you may also want to look into going into Middle Childhood Education. They need teachers very badly and it is much easier to get a job....Show more
