There are always going to be reasons that should keep you here. I can tell you leaving my pets and family to study abroad in high school was definitely a hard decision, however, I was really happy I got the chance to do it because it opened up so many opportunities for me. In general, studying abroad looks really good on both college applications as well as job applications. Also, being bilingual is an extremely desirably trait and there are actually a number of college scholarships available to students who are fluent or close to fluent in another language.
