Lorelei Lilburn: If you were a little child, you would need some supervision to do your home schooling. I know a family whose children, 6 and 10, know what the home lesson is, and they just sit down and do it, so they'll then be free for the rest of the day. Momma or poppa marks the lesson. (Sloppy work means they have to come back and do it right.)Why on earth would you need your mother's full-time teaching attention? My sister does software development from home, but it is a real job for her. She's well-schooled, and has plenty of experience. She works her 9-5, M-F, and gets paid well for her work. And enjoys her evenings and holidays off: she deserves it. Working or studying from home takes strong self-discipline. It's not just a way of avoiding work or study....Show more
