No sound from TV to home Theater?

Connectivity is almost always poor or nonexistent. For your LG, there is a headphone output. You could run a cable from the headphone output to the RCA input of your home theater. It is most likely a 3.5mm jack so your would need a 3.5mm stereo male to two rca plugs. If you wanted surround sound from your tv you needed to buy a unit that could input digital audio. Most home theater systems like this do not have that capability.
