FHA/CHFA and renting?

Darcie Peraha: So long as you reside there, it is owner occupied and considered your primary residence.Nothing forbids you from offsetting or supplementing your income by renting out a room. You just can't rent out the entire home & live elsewhere. generally a year or 2, but states & programs vary.

Lorine Helwick: It has to be owner occupied whne you move in, however no one can tell you not to buy another o/o home later and turn the old propert into a investment rental property. Thats just good business and that what you are suppose to do in the land of the FREE, become successful.
